AutoPay helps you stay on top of your payments without needing to log in every month. With flexible scheduling and payment options, you can tailor AutoPay to match your budget and payment habits. Here’s how to set it up using either the Klutch mobile app or web app.
Additionally, AutoPay operates by automatically initiating payments for any outstanding settled transactions based on the schedule you configure. This ensures payments are made only when necessary and applicable.
Where to Find AutoPay Settings
You can access AutoPay from both the Klutch app or the web app:
Open the app or go to app.klutch.cards and log in.
Tap or click on Account.
Select Payments & Transfers.
Tap or click on Manage AutoPay.
This will take you to the AutoPay dashboard, where you can see any existing schedules you’ve already set up.
Creating a New AutoPay Schedule
To create a new payment schedule:
On the Manage AutoPay page, click New Schedule.
You’ll be taken to a setup screen where you can customize when and how your payments are made.
Choose Your AutoPay Frequency
You can select one of the following scheduling options:
Daily: The system will check your account balance and attempt payment every day at 10 PM PT. Payments are processed only for settled transactions, so pending transactions do not count towards the payable balance.
Weekly: Payments are processed every Monday.
Monthly: Your payment will be scheduled for the 15th of each month.
Card Balance Triggered: AutoPay runs when your balance reaches a specified amount.
Select Your Payment Source
Choose a linked funding source (e.g., your bank account) that AutoPay will draw from when your scheduled payment runs.
Choose What to Pay
You’ll also choose what amount you want Klutch to automatically pay:
Entire Balance: Pays off your total current balance, bringing it to zero.
Balance Due: Pays the amount due from your last statement.
Minimum Due: Pays only the minimum required from your last statement.
Percentage of Balance: You define a percentage (e.g., 25%) to be paid from the current statement balance.
Fixed Amount: You choose a specific dollar amount to be paid on each run.
Limitations for Spend Card
If you’re using a Spend Card in Klutch, AutoPay does not offer an "Entire Balance" payment option daily. Spend Cards are pre-funded, meaning their balance represents only the amount you’ve loaded onto them. Because of this, AutoPay requires you to specify a dollar amount instead of automatically clearing the entire balance.
Managing or Cancelling AutoPay
After creating a schedule, you’ll see it listed on the Manage AutoPay page. You can edit or cancel your schedule at any time by selecting it and choosing the appropriate action.
Troubleshooting Auto-Pay Issues
If AutoPay is not functioning as expected, consider these steps:
Verify Auto-Pay Setup: Ensure AutoPay is enabled in your account by navigating to Account → Payments & Transfers → Manage AutoPay.
Check Your Funding Source: Confirm your funding source is active and has enough funds to cover the payments.
Review Transaction Status: Validate that your transactions are settled. Pending transactions or credits might affect this.
