What are virtual cards?

Virtual cards are digital versions of your Klutch card that can be used for online or in-app purchases. They work just like a physical card but are instantly available in the Klutch app. You can create multiple virtual cards, each with its own settings and controls.

What are physical cards?

Physical cards are traditional, plastic Klutch cards that you can use for in-person purchases anywhere Visa is accepted. Your physical card has the same account number as your main virtual card and can be used in parallel.

How long does it take for the physical card to ship?

Once approved, your physical Klutch card typically ships within 5 to 7 business days. You’ll receive a shipping notification, and your virtual card will be active right away so you don’t have to wait to start using your account.

What are single-use cards?

Single-use cards are virtual cards that automatically deactivate after one successful transaction. They’re ideal for one-time purchases, trial sign-ups, or transactions where you want extra protection against future charges.

What are single-merchant cards?

Single-merchant cards are virtual cards that can only be used with one specific merchant. Once the first charge is made, the card is locked to that merchant, helping prevent unauthorized or unexpected charges elsewhere.

What spending controls are available?

You can set a variety of spending controls on your Klutch cards, including daily or monthly limits, merchant category restrictions, transaction count caps, and geographic controls. These help prevent fraud, limit overspending, and keep you in control. Some of the controls are available only via a Mini-app or API.

How do I lock or unlock my card?

You can lock or unlock any of your Klutch cards instantly from the app. Locking a card prevents all new transactions until it's unlocked, but it won’t affect pending or recurring charges that have already been authorized.

What does it mean to terminate a card?

Terminating a card permanently deletes it. This is useful if you’re no longer using a specific virtual card or want to stop all future charges from a merchant. Once terminated, the card cannot be used or reactivated.

What should I do if I lose or misplace my physical card?

If you’ve misplaced your card, lock it immediately in the app to prevent unauthorized use. If you’re unable to locate it, you can request a replacement. A new card will be issued and mailed to you, and your virtual card will remain active in the meantime.

How do I view my virtual card number?

You can view your full virtual card details—including number, expiration date, and CVV—directly in the Klutch app. Click on the card and it will show up.

Can I have more than one virtual card?

Yes. You can create and manage multiple virtual cards for different purposes—like subscriptions, travel, or specific merchants. Each card can have its own controls and can be terminated independently.

How many cards can I create?

There’s no hard limit on the number of virtual cards you can create with Klutch. However, we monitor and control the rate of card creation to prevent abuse and ensure system stability. If you’re creating a high volume of cards through the app or API, you may occasionally be rate-limited. This helps us maintain a secure environment for all users.

Are virtual cards linked to the same account as my physical card?

Yes. All your Klutch cards—virtual and physical—draw from the same account balance or credit line. However, virtual cards can have their own rules, limits, and usage history.

What if my card is declined but I think it should have worked?

If your card is declined, check the Klutch app for a notification or explanation. It could be due to spending controls, a locked card, or risk-based blocking. In many cases, you’ll receive a text alert and can reply YES to approve the transaction temporarily.

How do I activate my card?

You can activate your physical Klutch card directly in the Klutch app. Once your card arrives, you’ll see an option to activate it on your home screen or in the card management section. Simply follow the prompts—it only takes a few seconds. Once activated, you can use it anywhere Visa is accepted.

Are physical cards free?

Yes—your first physical Klutch card is free with standard shipping. If you request an additional card, a $6 fee applies per card with standard shipping. Expedited delivery may be available for an additional cost.

Virtual cards are always free to create and manage within the Klutch app. You can generate as many as you need.

How do I use my Visa Signature benefits?

Your Klutch Credit Card includes Visa Signature benefits, such as travel protections, concierge service, purchase security, and extended warranty coverage. You can view and access these benefits by visiting the Visa Signature Benefits portal or by calling the Visa Signature support line. Eligibility and terms may vary by benefit, so we recommend reviewing the full details on Visa’s website.
